Second man arrested in fatal Durham shooting
Durham police made a second arrest Monday in the Nov. 5 shooting death of Jevontez Deshawn Massey.
Posted — UpdatedDURHAM, N.C. — Durham police made a second arrest Monday in the Nov. 5 shooting death of Jevontez Deshawn Massey.
Massey, 22, was found lying in the street on Morning Glory Avenue near Belt Street, police said. He had been shot and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Christopher Alexander Hicks, 21, was charged the next day with murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm. He was indicted Monday on those charges.
On Monday, police charged Markecio Barker, 16, with murder in the case.
