RALEIGH, N.C. — Fire tore through a house at 4037 Patriot Ridge Court in Raleigh early Monday, the second fire at the house in the past 48 hours. Both fires appear to be suspicious.

Police said they responded to the same home a few weeks ago and made a drug bust.

The first fire happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday and was extinguished in about five minutes. No injuries were reported.

Monday's fire started some time before 1:45 a.m. A neighbor saw smoke and called 911. Huge flames were shooting through the roof by the time fire officials arrived.

"Obviously, we want to know how it started and our investigators have a checklist," said Rob Johnson, division chief with the Raleigh Fire Department.

Multiple neighbors, who declined to give their names, said they were too scared to talk openly about the situation due to problems at the home, including the recent drug bust.
