Search on for Man Who Fled Traffic Stop

Raleigh police are searching for a man who fled the scene of a traffic stop.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are searching for a man who fled the scene of a traffic stop.

It began at about 1 a.m. Sunday when officers stopped a vehicle on Dawson Street for a registration violation.

When officers tried to confiscate a shotgun inside the car, three men jumped out of the vehicle and ran.

Officers quickly caught and arrested two of the men.

Officers searched the area around Dorothea Dix Hospital for the third man, but he remained at large Sunday morning.
