Sampson County teen reported missing

The Sampson County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help to find a missing 16-year-old who is believed to have runaway.

GARLAND, N.C. — The Sampson County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help to find a missing 16-year-old who is believed to have runaway.

Emily Morgan Carey, who goes by her middle name, was reported missing on Nov. 10 from 573 Cain Road in Garland, said Capt. Eric Pope. Her destination and mode of travel are unknown.

Carey is described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds. She has green eyes and short, brown hair. Pope said that she has changed her hair when she's runaway before.

Carey needs daily medication but doesn't have it with her.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-592-4141 or their local law enforcement agency.
