— Salisbury police are asking for the public's help Sunday to find an 11-year-old boy who disappeared from his home.

James Timothy Greene, who goes by Timothy or Tim, was last seen Friday night at his home on Holmes Avenue.

Authorities said he might be a runaway, but because he's only 11, they are concerned for his wellbeing.

Greene's adoptive father told WBTV in Charlotte that he hopes the boy is somewhere safe.

I don't understand why an Amber Alert wasn't issued for this boy. Regardless of whether or not the authorities think he was kidnapped or not, he's a very young boy to be out on his own and is clearly at risk/in danger. Let's advertise this missing child better! God protect him from danger and get him back to his family ASAP.

I hope this doesn't turn out to be another "Zahara" story, it's happening far too often lately!

    Hoping they find him soon!
