Rolesville police chief died from self-inflicted gunshot wound
The Wednesday night death of Rolesville Police Chief Bobby Langston II has been ruled a suicide, according to the medical examiner.

Langston’s wife called 911 at about 6:45 p.m. to report that her husband had shot himself. Officers responded to their home in the 200 block of Tortuga Street to find him dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
In a 911 call, Langston’s wife tells the dispatcher that Langston was found in a bedroom and left a note.
Langston’s wife said her daughter was in the home with her.
The Wake Forest Police Department was asked to investigate the death.
All flags in Rolesville were lowered to half-staff Wednesday night in honor of Langston.
Town Hall will be closed for the remainder of the week, town officials said.
"Chief Langston was admired and respected by the Town of Rolesville Mayor, Board of Commissioners, staff, citizens and businesses. He stood for character and ethics and ran the department likewise. He will truly be missed," town leaders said in a press release Wednesday night.
Langston became a police officer in 1994 and served with the Wendell Police Department for 18 years before joining the Rolesville Police Department.
