Rocky Mount police seek shooting suspect
Rocky Mount police are looking for a man they allege shot another man just after noon on the of 800 block of Arlington Street.

Billy Ray Artis Jr., 23, is described as a light-skinned black man standing about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He is wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Police allege that Artis shot Anthony Kyseem Smith, 20, Friday in the stomach and shoulder. Smith was taken to Nash General Hospital.
