Rocky Mount man slapped with slew of charges after traffic stop
A registered sex offender racked up nine charges after police say he ran a stop sign in Rocky Mount.
Posted — UpdatedAuthorities said Johnathan Raymond Knight, 29, was driving erratically before leading police on a chase that ended at his house at 111 Wilkinson St. on Feb. 3.
Upon further investigation, police said Knight was driving on a revoked license, had violated sex offender restrictions by living within 1,000 feet of a school and had a firearm in his car despite being a convicted felon.
He was also charged with reckless driving, resisting a public officer, fictitious registration and two counts of failure to stop for a stop sign.
Knight posted bond and was released.
