Rocky Mount announces arrests in Operation Disarm

The Rocky Mount Police Department announced on Thursday that 14 people have been indicted on federal charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and other charges as part of Operation Disarm, an effort to combat guns and violent crime in the city.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The Rocky Mount Police Department announced on Thursday that 14 people have been indicted on federal charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and other charges as part of Operation Disarm, an effort to combat guns and violent crime in the city.
  • Cerron Fox – charged with felon in possession of firearm.
  • Ronnie Clark – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of stolen firearm, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm.
  • Terrence Holden – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of firearm during violent drug felony, and possession with intent to deliver narcotics.
  • Jason Hicks – charged with two Counts of felon in possession of firearm, possession of firearm with obliterated serial number.
  • James Brinkley – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of firearm with Obliterated Serial Number.
  • Roderick Whitaker – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, maintaining a dwelling, possession of firearm during a drug felony, and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.
  • Coven Gabriel-Vick – charged with felon in possession of firearm.
  • Andre McNeil – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession with intent to deliver Narcotics, and possession of firearm during a drug felony.
  • John Edge – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of an NFA weapon.
  • Demaz Alston – charged with felon in possession of firearms, firearm theft, possession of stolen firearm.
  • Lewis Alston – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of firearm during a drug felony, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, maintaining a dwelling for narcotics.
  • Tylious Daniels – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession of firearm during a drug felony, possession with intent to deliver narcotics.
  • George McClain – charged with felon in possession of firearm.
  • Marvin Daniels – charged with felon in possession of firearm, possession with intent to deliver narcotics, maintaining a vehicle, possession of firearm during a drug felony.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the ATF began working with the Rocky Mount Police Department on Operation Disarm in March 2009. It is a federal, state and local cooperative effort against gun crimes.

“This is a continuation of our efforts to rid our community of drug and gun related crimes. This operation is a collaborative effort between our community and other law enforcement agencies,” Rocky Mount Police Chief John H. Manley said.
