FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One person was shot and another carjacked after a mini-crime spree Wednesday afternoon.

A man approached a customer at the Carolina Clean Car Wash, 1933 Pamalee Dr., at about 6 p.m. armed with a handgun and demanded his personal property. The victim was shot in the arm during a struggle with the suspect, police said. The victim was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.

After the shooting, the suspect approached a second person who was sitting in a vehicle at Pamalee Plaza, located near the car wash. The suspect ordered the driver out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The driver then fled to a nearby business.

The second victim’s vehicle was recovered but the suspect fled the area before police arrived.
