— Three masked men forced McDonald's employees into a freezer during a robbery shortly before midnight Sunday, Fayetteville police said.

One of the men who entered the McDonald's at 5009 Santa Fe Drive was carrying a shotgun, police said. They forced a worker to open a safe and moved all the employees into the freezer. They then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that solve crimes.

This is attempted murder. The stench of all that rancid "meat" could have killed those poor people.

Where is the police annex located here? There is a big shopping center across the street but i never saw a police annex there. The only annex i know of is down on eastern Blvd.- rgreen88

The annex is incorporated with the firehouse on the corner.

Thank goodness I don't live in Fayetteville anymore. But really folks, Fayetteville has some bad areas that give it a bad name. Let's not forget that the news media love to kick Fayetteville any chance they have. Their are a lot of good people that live and work in Fayetteville. I hope who ever did this is caught before someone gets hurt.

expect more of this ... as the obama administration accelerated more jobs overseas and floods the USA with foreigners to take the good jobs for less pay. thanks to all his pandering of those countries.

what a cold blooded thing to do

Glad they were only put in the freezer at work and not the morgue. Hope they catch these guys before someone DOES end up there.

So much for job growth and everyone getting back to work. Apparently the robbers didn't get the memo. Sounds like no one was hurt, that's good to hear.

At least they didn't kill the workers. I'd rather the news story say they were herded into the freezer rather than found dead.
