RALEIGH, N.C. — Lanes will be closed on portions of the Beltline in Raleigh Sunday.

One lane of Interstate 440 in both directions will be closed between 9 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday. The closures will take place between Wake Forest Road and Wade Avenue. The exact location of the lane closures will shift.

Contractors are doing striping work on new pavement.

Elsewhere in Raleigh, the ramp at Exit 301 from Interstate 40 West to I-440 West, or the Outer Beltline, will be closed as part of a resurfacing project. In addition, I-440 West will be reduced to one lane between Rock Quarry and Poole roads.

The closures began at 9 p.m. Friday and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday, the state Department of Transportation said.

A detour will be posted to guide motorists from I-40 to exit at Rock Quarry Road (Exit 300A) and return to the Beltline.

Emergency repairs to a sewer line on Wade Avenue should be completed by Sunday morning.
