Report: Raleigh shows robust recovery from recession

Raleigh is showing one of the strongest recoveries from the nationwide recession, according to new figures from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Capital City is showing one of the strongest recoveries from the nationwide recession, according to new figures from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Raleigh posted 10.5 percent growth in its economic output between 2007 – before the recession – and last year, figures show. That growth ranked fifth nationally, behind only San Jose, Calif., Austin, Texas, Hartford, Conn., and Washington, D.C.
