Jeremy Randolph Martin

— A man convicted of sex crimes faces new charges after being arrested Friday by Raleigh police.

Jeremy Randolph Martin, 33, of 1420 S. Wilmington St., charged with three counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor after, authorities say, he electronically copied digital photos of young girls engaged in sexual acts.

Martin was in the Wake County Detention Center Sunday under a $500,000 secured bond.

According to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry, Martin was convicted in November 2003 of two counts of second-degree sexual solicitation involving someone with a physical or mental illness.

He was sentenced to two to three years in prison and probation for those crimes.

People need to educate themnselves on what the judicial system is labeling as "sex offenders." Most are teenagers, convicted of a misdemeanor, that at a bare minimum are on the list for 10 years. Their offenses were not against children, however they are not allowed anywhere near children for the rest of their sentence. Jeremy Martin is the worse and should be punished. BUT, relaize when someone says "sex offender," the majority are teeangers who made stupid mistakes and have been convicted of a miseddemeanor for: streaking, flashing, selfies or dating a 16 yo when 18. They are not predatory pedophiles as the judicial system is making them out to be. Already four states have discontinued the practice, Maine, Maryland, Ohio and Oklahoma.

I wish were all like "LandonsGrampa," and are without sin so we could hurl that 1st stone.

Self-righteousness is a pretty despicable, character trait. Perhaps we could move those people from society.

Sex offenders should be removed from our society. Their urges do not stop. Their desires become more and more dark, as they gain confidence. If left in society, this guy will eventually have the courage, to rape a child. Do not allow this to happen. Don't wait until after he does this, or something far worse, do something about him now.

How did he manage to do this as the Wake County Homeless shelter? Which is what's at the address listed.
