Rape suspect arrested after a year on the lam
Goldsboro police said a warrant was issued for the suspect in September 2011, but he fled town.

Goldsboro police said Friday that the incident happened sometime between late February and early March 2011.
An arrest warrant was issued for Rashawn Ray McDuffie of 105 Brogden St., in September 2011, but authorities said he fled the area and could not be found.
McDuffie was arrested Wednesday in Turkey after Sampson County sheriff’s deputies received a Crime Stoppers tip on his whereabouts.
McDuffie was served with the outstanding warrant for statutory rape, along with six outstanding arrest warrants.
He was being held in the Wayne County jail under a $104,500 secured bond.
