RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman died Saturday on a South Carolina roadway, authorities said.

Jaime Vodvarka was traveling south on Interstate 95 in Clarendon County, S.C. when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the median and overturned, South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Lance Cpl. Trevor Clinton said.

The cause of the wreck was still under investigation Thursday.

A passenger in the car, also from Raleigh, was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Vodvarka was a graduate student at North Carolina State University, where she also worked for the American Foundation for Aging Research.
