RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman faces a DWI charge as well as child neglect charges after police say she dozed off behind the wheel early Sunday and wrecked her Jeep Liberty, which had four children inside.

According to a wreck report, Jasmine Solei Terry, 25, was driving east on Interstate 40 around 1:30 a.m. when she fell asleep and ran off the road near Interstate 440 and Jones Franklin Road.

Terry told police that she overcorrected, which caused the car to run off the road and flip several times, the wreck report said.

She and several passengers of the car were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

She also admitted that she had been drinking, and police observed alcohol containers in the vehicle.

In addition to driving while impaired, Terry, of 3935 Alder Grove Lane, was charged with four counts of child neglect for having an unrestrained child and one count each of careless and reckless driving and violating the open container law.
