RALEIGH, N.C. — A teacher at a private religious school in Raleigh is accused of taking inappropriate photos of a student.

Scott Anthony Mann, 37, of the 1900 block of Ward Street in Durham, is charged with three counts of taking indecent liberties with child under the age of 16, according to an arrest warrant.

The warrant states the abuse happened between September and November. Investigators the victims were three boys, ages 8, 9 and 12.

Mann was a teacher at St. David's School, an independent Episcopal school on White Oak Drive in Raleigh.

School officials released a statement Wednesday saying they received a complaint Nov. 19 that Mann had taken the photos, and they placed him on administrative leave the next day and launched an investigation.

Mann was terminated Monday before his arrest, officials said.

"We are cooperating (fully) with law enforcement amid this ongoing investigation while keeping the safety and well being of our students as our highest priority," school officials said in a statement.

Mann is also listed online as the adult choir director at Asbury United Methodist Church on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh and as the associate director of the North Carolina Boys Choir.

Mann was released on a $60,000 bond.
