Raleigh shooting leaves one dead

— One man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in southeast Raleigh, police said.

Officers responded to a reported shooting at 611 Peyton St. at about 1:30 p.m. and found a man dead at the scene.

The victim was later identified as 20-year-old Christopher Degrantus Fowler.

    We used to own that apartment building (and 619 beside of it) years ago. Back then,in the late 70's, there were good folks living there, except for a few, but I imagine it's a mess around there now.

    And an elementary school is located just 2 blocks away at 400 peyton st.....

    Glad there are all these gun control laws that keep guns out of "bad" guy's hands and away from schools.......
