Raleigh police seek to ID woman in hotel robbery

Raleigh police asked for the public's help Thursday to identify a woman who robbed the Red Roof Inn on April 10.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police asked for the public's help Thursday to identify a woman who robbed the Red Roof Inn on April 10.

The woman entered the lobby of the hotel at 1813 S. Saunders St. around 10 a.m., police said. She gave the clerk a note demanding money and, once she had cash, fled on foot.

She is described as black, in her 20s or 30s, with a light complexion. She is 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She was wearing large sunglasses and a black jacket with a white, horizontal stripe on the front and carrying a tan and white purse.

Anyone who believes they recognize the woman is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
