McDonald's robbery
RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police released surveillance images Thursday from an early-morning hold-up two weeks ago at a McDonald's restaurant on Wake Forest Road.

Around 3 a.m. on Sept. 24, police say, a man forced at gunpoint a truck driver making a delivery to McDonald's into the restaurant, where he said he was robbing the place but fled without taking any cash.

The man, described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and 165 to 180 pounds, left the scene in an older-model Chevrolet Caprice. The car was painted in light over dark, two-toned style with aftermarket rims.

The robber was seen in surveillance footage wearing a New York Yankees baseball cap, dark trousers and a dark-colored, zip-up fleece jacket with gray shoulders.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP or report a tip online. Crime Stoppers pays cash for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
