— Raleigh Police filed two counts of attempted murder against a man accused of shooting his sister Wednesday.

Police say Hung Van Nguyen shot Kim Ngong Nguyen in her leg and hip. She was taken to WakeMed but should be OK.

Hung also fired shots at another alleged victim, David Tran. Tran is related to Nguyen. He was not hurt, officials said.

Nguyen was in the Wake County Jail Thursday.

"Is this something we have to know? I think not. WRAL, please report on the events that are relevant to the story that can be proven. Let's not sugar coat things or slant the story to make it more interesting. Thanks."

If they dont report it then the public is only going to speculate so the condition of the victim is relevant in a story. It is not sugar coating if the doctors say they will make a recovery. I guess I just dont understand your point. It also helps friends and family members that may be unable to reach others to track the condition of the victim if they werent yet notified.

Since when does someone report "should be OK" to report a victim's condition? I think that "She was taken to Wake Med" is sufficient. I've noticed lately that news stories feel it necessary to comment on wether or not a victim has life threatening injuries or not. Is this something we have to know? I think not. WRAL, please report on the events that are relevant to the story that can be proven. Let's not sugar coat things or slant the story to make it more interesting. Thanks.

Whew finally Mexicans are not in picture anymore, I really hated for them. If the story involved them the comments would have risen to over 100 by now.

I know this family and this is a real shock. I havent seen them since about 1995 when I moved out of the area. I don't know what went wrong but I will pray for the family to heal from this. I remember Kim and her brother as wonderful people. David, I didnt know as well but he seemed nice anytime I saw him. Like I said, this was the last family I would have thought this would have happened in.
