The Raleigh Police Department has made a second arrest Thursday in connection to a Poole Road homicide. 

Victor Alexander Newman, 31, was arrested for the shooting death of Jeffrey Gibson, 49.

In July, Sinte Lachelle Lane, 31, was arrested and charged with this homicide.

Police responded to a shooting at 3:44 p.m., July 19, in the 2700 block of Poole Rd.

Upon arrival, officers located Gibson with a gunshot wound.

He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and later died.
