RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is going above and beyond to be a good neighbor.

Nine-year-old Kyla Tracy has chronic bone condition and needs a wheelchair to get around, but her home is not wheelchair friendly.

Her neighbor, Jimmy Osborne, a contractor, decided to remodel the home’s garage.

On Wednesday, Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning of Raleigh installed a new $12,000 heating and cooling system for Tracy.

Her family said the upgrades will make life much easier.

“This will give her a place of her own, especially as she grows up and get older,” said Tracy’s father, Jared. “It will be her own living space so she can be independent, because that’s kind of the goal of everything, is to get her eventually independent.”

Kyla Tracy said she’s ecstatic about having a space of her own.

“They’re building a huge room and a huge doorway for my huge chair,” she said. “I don’t even know how they found out about me, but it’s pretty awesome.”
