Raleigh man faces animal cruelty charges

According to a search warrant, Raleigh police went to Pablo Velez's house to serve an outstanding warrant and detected a strong odor of feces.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man is facing animal cruelty charges.
According to a search warrant, Raleigh police went to Pablo Velez's house to serve an outstanding warrant and detected a strong odor of feces.

When the officer looked through the window, he discovered feces on the floor and wall, along with several animals living in the unsanitary conditions.

At least one of the dogs was injured, according to the warrant.

Three dogs were confiscated.

Velez was released on $1,000 bond.
