RALEIGH, N.C. — Police say a Raleigh man repeatedly snagged shoppers' wallets at a local Walmart.

Tri Cao Nguyen, 37, of 5011 Babbling Brook Way, was charged with four counts of misdemeanor larceny and two counts each of possession of stolen property and obtaining property by false pretense.

Investigators said Nguyen chose victims at the Walmart on New Hope Church Road in Raleigh, grabbing wallets from their shopping carts or purses while they weren't looking.

According to arrest warrants, he got four wallets between last Thursday and Monday and used stolen credit cards to buy groceries at a nearby Food Lion on Falls of the Neuse Road.
