Raleigh man charged with assault

A Raleigh man was charged Saturday with habitual assault for an attack on a woman in September.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was charged Saturday with habitual assault for an attack on a woman in September.

According to the warrant for his arrest, Dean Michael Parker, 32, of 3409 Tryon Road, allegedly pulled a woman into his truck and hit and choked her on Sept. 11.

Parker has a previous conviction for assault with a deadly weapon for an attack in May. He was being held in the Wake County jail on $10,000 bond.
