<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — A Raleigh man was charged with assault following a Monday night encounter.

Officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded to Elkpark Drive, off Sanderford Road in southeast Raleigh, before 11:45 p.m.

Police said someone was injured during a domestic dispute, but the extent of the injuries was not provided. Officials said the injuries were not severe.

Christian Thomas, 27, of Raleigh was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
