Raleigh homes evacuated after gas line rupture

A contractor hit a gas line Monday in the area of Dogwood Drive and Redbud Lane, near Wade Avenue, in Raleigh. Several homes have been evacuated, according to a PSNC Energy spokeswoman.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A contractor hit a gas line Monday in the area of Dogwood Drive and Redbud Lane, near Wade Avenue, in Raleigh. Several homes have been evacuated, according to a PSNC Energy spokeswoman.

The leak was capped just before 1 p.m., and crews were working on a repair.
