Firefighters were able to save a Raleigh house after it caught fire early Sunday.

The home, at 2205 Poole Road, was vacant, so no one was inside when the fire started at about 4:30 a.m.

The fire was concentrated in one room, firefighters said, but most of the home was not damages.

By daybreak, the fire was out, but a cause had not been determined.

Good job to the FD for another job well done.

hmmmmm vacant home, fire started at 430 AM? odd I think.

My Raleigh Fire Fighters located on Western Blvd. are some of the BEST! I have shown my appreciation, along with my church Lifepoint West, the past few weekends by taking them some freshly baked cookies. Everyone should try and show all fire fighters their appreciation in just a small way if possible.

Good job Raleigh Fire Fighters!
