RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh gym owner who was charged last week with inappropriately touching a girl now faces a second allegation of indecent liberties, according to court records.

Samuel Oscar Blue, 45, of 2263 Lazy River Drive in Raleigh, appeared in court on Wednesday morning to face a charge of indecent liberties with a child stemming from an alleged July 14 incident with a 14-year-old girl. He was released on a $150,000 bond.

Blue was previously charged with one count of sexual battery in connection with an alleged Nov. 21 incident involving a 16-year-old girl.

The website for Triangle VertiMax, at 1310 Corporation Parkway in Raleigh, lists Blue as the owner and lead trainer at the physical fitness center.

Those who know Blue said he trains several high school and college athletes daily.

Blue served in the Army from 1991 to 2001 and was raised in Detroit by a military family that ultimately ended up in Fort Bragg, according to the gym's website.

"Mr. Blue has dedicated his life to serving his country and his community," defense attorney Bill Young said in an email to WRAL News. "Over the past 10 years, he built an impeccable reputation as a widely respected and successful sports trainer. Everything I have learned about Mr. Blue – from many people who have trained under him and their parents – leads me to believe that this matter will be resolved swiftly."
