RALEIGH, N.C. — The owner of a Raleigh fitness center has been charged with inappropriately touching an underage girl, according to court documents.

Samuel Oscar Blue, 45, of Raleigh was charged with at least one count of sexual battery in connection with the incident, which was reported on Nov. 21, according to the arrest warrant. The website for Triangle VertiMax lists Blue as the owner and lead trainer at the physical fitness center.

Police said the victim was an underage high school student although they did not immediately disclose her age. Those who know Blue said he trains several high school and college athletes daily.

Blue returned to work Wednesday afternoon after making bond.

Blue served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 2001 and was raised in Detroit by a military family that ultimately ended up in Fort Bragg, according to the gym's website.
