A Hyundai rear-ended a Capital Area Transit bus on Capital Boulevard near Westinghouse Boulevard on Wednesday morning, injuring several bus passengers, according to police.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Hyundai rear-ended a Capital Area Transit bus on Capital Boulevard near Westinghouse Boulevard on Wednesday morning, injuring several bus passengers, according to police.

The crash happened about 10:45 a.m., just north of Interstate 440, and all of the injuries were minor, said Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue. Some of the passengers asked to taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out.

The crash closed several lanes of Capital Boulevard, but they reopened by 11:40 a.m.

No other information was released.
