RAEFORD, N.C. — A Raeford man and woman face numerous child sex charges involving pornography, according to the Hoke County Sheriff's Office.

Amelia Lynn Steganius, 23, of 594 S. Buckeye Drive, faces one count each of first-degree forcible sexual offense and crimes against nature and  two counts each of first-degree sexual exploitation of a child, indecent liberties with a child and felony child abuse.

Luis Antonio Ramirez, 45, of 594 S. Buckeye Drive, is charged with three counts of second-degree exploitation of a child. Both suspects are being held in the Hoke County jail under separate $1 million secured bonds.

Sheriff Hubert A. Peterkin said the investigators first found child pornography being exchanged online from Ramirez's computer. His arrest on July 12 led to evidence that resulted in Steganius being charged last Thursday, the sheriff said.

Peterkin said the FBI is also investigating the case, and more arrests and charges are expected.
