— Animal Control officers with the Town of Cary confirmed on Friday that a fox caught Thursday in the 1000 block of Valleystone Drive had rabies. It is the first case of rabies in the town this year.

They reminded residents to avoid contact with animals behaving oddly and to vaccinate pets which are allowed outdoors.
