Probationer charged in second Fayetteville armed robbery
A probationer awaiting trial on armed-robbery charges has been charged in connection with a second armed robbery, Fayetteville police said Thursday.
Posted — UpdatedEddie Clay Norwood III, 21, was arrested Wednesday in connection with a Dec. 30, 2010, robbery. He was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy.
He was given a $41,000 unsecured bond.
Police said that Norwood posted a $25,000 secured bond in January after being charged in connection with a Dec. 21, 2010, robbery. In that case, he also faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy.
He is serving 24 months of probation for a June 2010 conviction for felony breaking and entering, according to state Department of Correction records.
