A 17-year-old Princeton man was charged Friday in connection with a Thursday break-in in Rosewood.

Darian Lee Friend was charged with felony breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said. He was held under a $5,000 secured bond.

A Rosewood resident told deputies he heard a noise at his back door on Thursday. The resident went to investigate and found a man had pried open the back door. The armed intruder struggled with the resident before fleeing.

Knives are certainly deadly weapons.

He'll learn more once he's in prison.

Military camp ...

I agree the bond is very low, however it wasn't a gun that he broke in with, it was a knife.

He breaks in with a gun and only gets a 5000.00 bond. He will be quickly out on the streets to do the same thing again, probably before Christmas.
