Power out at UNC
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Wilson Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was closed Thursday, a day after a power outage caused early dismissals and building evacuations across the campus.

School officials said that the power outage was caused by an incident in an electrical closet in Dey Hall just before 4 p.m. One university employee was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

According to a statement from the school, power was restored Wednesday night to all but two buildings. Dey Hall and the Wilson Library were still without power and will remain closed until further notice.

The Lenior Dining Hall, UNC Student Stores and Student Union were closed Wednesday night and reopened Thursday morning, school officials said.

The Chapel Hill Fire Department and UNC Environment Health and Safety officials were investigating the incident.
