Police are searching for a suspect vehicle after a woman said she was shot in the shoulder on July 7 by a pellet gun while standing outside of a Fayetteville pub.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are searching for a suspect vehicle after a woman said she was shot in the shoulder on July 7 by a pellet gun while standing outside of a Fayetteville pub.

Margaret Coates, 53, told police she was standing outside of Charley's Pub at 126 Person St. when she heard an air-powered sound and immediately felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. Coates was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where it was found that she was shot by a pellet gun.

No similar incidents have been reported since that day.

Detectives released surveillance photos of the suspect vehicle as it drove along Person Street just before and after the shooting. Anyone with information about the shooting or the vehicle should call Fayetteville police at 910-703-1166 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
