Police: Woman assaulted, knocked out near Fayetteville home

Authorities said officers responded to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to a report of a woman who had been attacked near the area of Robeson Street and Levy Drive.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are investigating after a woman was assaulted outside her home late Saturday night.

Authorities said officers responded to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to a report of a woman who had been attacked near the area of Robeson Street and Levy Drive.

Police said the woman was outside her Levy Drive home at about 11 p.m. when she was attacked and physically assaulted by an unknown person. The woman was knocked unconscious during the incident and woke up a few hundred feet from where she was attacked.
