Police: Teen found near Goldsboro highway victim of hit-and-run

Police said Tuesday that a teen found injured early Sunday along U.S. Highway 117 was the victim of a hit-and-run.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that a teen found injured early Sunday along U.S. Highway 117 was the victim of a hit-and-run.

Carlos Ivan Carrizales-Carrizales, 17, of Mount Olive, was found with head trauma along the highway and was taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. His condition was unknown Tuesday.

Investigators said he was struck between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Sunday, and they are looking for a light-colored, full-size, four-door GMC-style pickup truck in the case.
