Police: Suspect robbed three stores Wednesday

Goldsboro police said three robberies at convenience stores Wednesday are connected. They are working with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office to identify the suspect who can be seen in surveillance video.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police said three robberies at convenience stores Wednesday are connected. They are working with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office to identify the suspect who can be seen in surveillance video.

The first robbery occurred at the Pantry Convenient Store, 1908 U.S. Highway 117 South just before 2 a.m.; the second robbery happened at The Pantry #3474, 2035 U.S. Highway 70 West before 4 a.m.; the third was reported at 6:35 a.m. at the Kangaroo #920, 2606 N. William Street.



In each case, the suspect displayed a knife and took an undisclosed amount of cash. He is described as a black man with a large build and facial hair, wearing a baseball cap, gray T-shirt and light blue denim shorts.
