— Raleigh police released surveillance photos Wednesday that they hope will help identify two men and a woman who have robbed at least four people in the past two weeks.

Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said that in each case, the robbers were armed or implied that they had weapons and stole from people outside hotels or motels. The robberies happened at:

  • 4810 Bluestone Drive around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 15
  • 2610 Westinghouse Blvd. around 3:45 a.m. on Sept. 20
  • 3531 Wake Forest Road around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 22
  • 6209 Glenwood Ave. around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 27

Police described the suspects as a heavy-set black man who might be in his 30s, a tall, slender black man who is said to be in his 20s to 30s and a heavy-set black woman. Sughrue said investigators believe at least one other person was involved in some of the robberies.

Anyone with believes they might recognize any of the suspects is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 9169-834-4357. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
