Police seek suspect in Fayetteville armed robbery

Fayetteville police released two surveillance photos from an armed robbery that happened Saturday morning at a Family Dollar on Person Street.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police on Saturday released two surveillance photos from an armed robbery that happened Saturday morning at a Family Dollar on Person Street.

Officers responded to the Family Dollar at 420 Person Street at about 9:45 a.m. Police said a man entered the business armed with a handgun and demanded the clerk hand over money. He left the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

According to investigators, the man was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the word "Florida" printed in orange letters, camouflage plants and work boots.
