Police: Rocky Mount woman caused wrecks, backup on I-40

A Rocky Mount woman's reckless driving is to blame for a series of wrecks Sunday on Interstate 40 in Pender County, authorities said.

Sabrina Michelle Smith, 26, faces charges of driving while impaired, hit and run, reckless driving and driving without a license. She rear-ended a vehicle near milemarker 415 and clipped another two miles down the road while traveling at an estimated 90 mph, according to Trooper Leonard Alvarado with the state Highway Patrol.

    This lady should be locked up for at least a year. Even if they take her license, she probably will still drive. There are alot of folk driving without licenses. I'm just glad to know no one was seriously injured and/or killed.
