RALEIGH, N.C. — Police chased two people near the intersection of Six Forks and Strickland roads in north Raleigh Wednesday morning, and the police activity caused some temporary traffic delays in the area.

Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department, said officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery in the 8800 block of Valentine Court. They arrested one person, but the other got away.

A vehicle was stolen from the 9000 block og Reedham Oaks Court nearby at about the same time as the robbery report, Sughrue said. Police think the missing person may have taken the car.

The second person was apprehended shortly before noon, and the stolen vehicle was recovered, Sughrue said.
