Police: Raleigh man abused 3-month-old, causing brain injury
A 25-year-old Raleigh man has been charged after authorities say he abused his 3-month-old child on Monday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 25-year-old Raleigh man was arrested Monday after police say his 3-month-old daughter suffered a brain injury after being shaken.
Elliott Douglas Craig, of 818 Chatham Lane, was jailed under a $500,000 bond on one felony count of intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury stemming from the Oct. 10 crime.
Investigators said the child, who has since been released from the hospital, also suffered retinal damage.
Craig's mother-in-law said Tuesday that she believes he is innocent and that the family believes the child's brain injury happened during childbirth and was never detected.
