Police: No clues to Siler City man's disappearance
Despite an active Facebook campaign for clues by friends and family, Siler City police say they have no leads on the disappearance of a 25-year-old man on Oct. 3.
Posted — UpdatedAccording to family, Esau Abraham Brenes was last seen dropping off some friends in his green Mini Cooper with N.C. license plate tag ZRA 5881.
"How can somebody be doing when your child disappears and they can't find him," said Brenes' step-father, Gus Salinas. "Can't sleep, cant eat. You got anxiety, stress."
The family has posted images of Brenes online and around Siler City, but those have yet to yield any clues to his whereabouts, said Lt. James M. Underwood of the Siler City Police Department.
"Seeing this right across the street, you don't really hear nothing like this in Siler City," said Trevor McMasters, a neighbor of Brenes.
"We're just waiting for them, to hear something from law enforcement," Salinas said. "Hopefully it's something positive."
