Cary boy, 9, killed on skateboard
CARY, N.C. — Police said Friday that no charges will be filed against a driver who hit and killed a 9-year-old Cary boy last Saturday while the boy was skateboarding in his neighborhood.

Ravindra "Ravi" Kalipershad was riding a skateboard down his driveway on Saturday afternoon when he went out into his street, Council Gap Court, and crashed into a Toyota Highlander driven by a neighbor, police said.

Police and Wake County prosecutors said an investigation showed that there was nothing the driver, Lauren Miller, 48, could have done to prevent the accident, so no criminal charges will be filed in the case.
