Police: Man clubbed girlfriend with handgun
A Garner man was arrested Friday and charged with hitting a woman with a .38-caliber handgun, police said.

GARNER, N.C. — A Garner man was arrested Friday and charged with hitting a woman with a .38-caliber handgun, police said.
Ronny Artis, 43, of 1491 U.S. Highway 70, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
Garner police said Artis and his girlfriend were arguing when he pulled out the gun and hit her in the head with it.
The woman suffered minor injuries to her face, police said.
